Control Thermal Radiation with Nanophotonic Structures

Speaker: Shanhui Fan, Electrical Engineering, Stanford University
Location: Spalding Laboratory 106 (Hartley Memorial Seminar Room)

The use of nanophotonic structures open new possibilities for the control of thermal radiation, and also enables new application possiblities for thermal science. In this talk, we will review some of recent works in  seeking to explore new radiative heat transfer possibilities with non-reciprocal nanophotonics structures, as well as the development of cooling based thermal radiation control.
